Nice Comment: “5 hrs of Spa Bliss”

We chose the top of the range Ayurveda Package for 2 which at just under $300 including a meal proved excellent value for money. They arranged a pick up from our hotel and the driver was there spot on time with a nice, air conditioned, new model van to take us to the spa which is on the main drag in Nusa Dua.

A very traditional style building. The commercials were handled very efficiently and we were taken through to the treatment areas. Think traditional Balinese spa: sounds of running water, lots of greenery, cool stone tiles, airy spacious interiors, dark and peaceful.

Very good massage and a range of treatments ensued. The soak in the large stone tub filled with flowers was a highlight as was the Shirodhara (warm oil poured on forehead.) I chose the Balinese Lulur (deep soft exfoliation) and my partner had the Boreh (warm healing pack) – both interesting treatments. My skin felt just gorgeous after. My hub said the Boreh felt a bit fiery on his skin but not unpleasantly so.

There is a lot of focus on head and shoulders in this package – My hubby felt that there was too much head massaging for him and next time would choose a package that had more hands and feet – I guess if you like your head massaged (I do), this is the one for you.

Products used seemed to be of good quality and smelled delicious, the treatment areas clean and comfortable and the staff considerate, professional and polite.
Note this is a traditional style spa and those looking for the more traditional western spa style with chrome taps, glass bottles and fluffy towels will be disappointed.

Highly recommend this spa – overall as good as the spas in the high end resorts and at a third of the price.
