Five-star luxury hotel Sofitel Nusa Dua is set to open in September 2013. 415 rooms and 17 private villas will bring the total number of hotel rooms located within the BTDC to more than 5000.

One sure way to relax on a Bali vacation is to pay a visit to one of the many spas across the island. Most hotels and resorts include some type of spa, but consider heading off property for a less pricey (but still terrific) experience. My wife and I enjoyed the Sekar Jagat Spa in Jimbaran (near Nusa Dua). They offer free pick-up and drop-off and even drove us to the airport after a treatment on our way out of the country.

Interesting statistics. 275% more Australian tourists in Bali now compared to 4 years ago. China grew 255%, holds rank 2 and is still growing. Japanese market melted down to 50%. UK and France are the strongest European markets. Taiwan lost 26% within one year.
